Amazon Basin Academy
The Amazon Basin Academy’s main objective is to promote sustainable development in Latin America, particularly by leveraging the basin’s natural and cultural wealth with global intellectual capital to foster greater economic prosperity, greater social justice, and stewardship of the natural environment.
By working toward these objectives, PAX’s Amazon Basin Academy will contribute to the educational community, biodiversity conservation and the promotion of the UN’s sustainable development goals.
The Sustainability Development Program, of Pax Research Center of the Americas, in the Amazon Basin focuses on creating a sustainable intelligence unit, a distance learning program, and a biodiversity venture fund. These initial steps are based on sound principles of management and correspond to best practices of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling sustainable projects. Eventually, the projects will add the element of a blockchain system in the form of a database to allow information sharing within the educational, entrepreneurship, and environmental communities.
